Privacy Policy
Draft — last updated 3 November 2026
MarketEase is operated by THELMAC ENTERPRISE. This notice explains how we handle information when you create an account, register a shop or publish product listings.
Information you provide
We process account details, including your name and email, and the shop information and product content you submit. Shop information includes business contact numbers, location and description.
Public shop information
Approved shop details and active product listings are publicly visible. Uploaded product photos use public URLs. Hiding a listing does not make its photo URL private. Do not upload private documents or personal information you do not want published.
Shop reviews
When you review a shop, your rating, review text, publication date and review reference are public immediately. New or edited reviews display your first name and surname initial from your profile, with notice and confirmation before posting. Your email and phone number are not displayed with reviews. Existing reviews without a published name remain labelled Community member until their author edits them and confirms publication of their name. We link reviews to your account so you can edit or delete them and so administrators can moderate abuse. Do not include private contact details or payment information in review text. Administrators can hide reviews; hidden reviews do not affect public ratings. Hidden reviews remain stored until deleted by their author or removed with the associated account or shop.
Support requests
When you use our Help Center or Contact form, we store your name, reply email, request type, subject and message in Supabase. These requests are private and available to authorized administrators to investigate, respond and track resolution. They are not public reviews. You do not need an account to submit a request. Account deletion does not automatically remove separately submitted support correspondence; contact support@thelmac.com for a privacy request. Do not include passwords, verification codes or payment card details.
How we use information
We use account information to provide sign-in and account management. We use shop details and product content to review registrations, publish listings and help customers contact sellers. We also record administrator shop-status changes for accountability.
Service providers
We use Supabase for authentication, database services and product photo storage. We use Hostinger Email to handle correspondence sent to support@thelmac.com. These providers process information needed to deliver their respective services.
Contacting sellers
Calling a shop or opening WhatsApp takes you outside MarketEase. Information you share in those conversations is handled by the seller and the communication service you choose. MarketEase does not receive those conversations through its contact links.
Authentication and technical records
MarketEase uses authentication cookies to maintain sign-in sessions. Our infrastructure providers may process technical records, such as IP addresses, request details, and errors, to operate and secure their services.
Analytics and advertising
MarketEase does not currently use optional traffic analytics, advertising trackers, or visitor-session recording tools. We will update this notice before introducing these tools and provide any required choices.
Account deletion and privacy requests
To request account deletion, access to your personal information, or correction of account information, email support@thelmac.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Never send your password or verification codes.
Deletion requests and retention
We aim to acknowledge privacy and account-deletion requests within three business days. Acknowledgement does not mean deletion has been completed. We will verify the request and explain the next steps.
While a verified deletion request is being processed, we hide the owner’s shops and listings. When deletion proceeds, we remove the account, profile, shops, product records, associated shop reviews and uploaded product photos.
For completed account deletions, we retain deletion-request records and associated owner-linked shop-status audit records for 90 days after completion. A daily cleanup job removes eligible records after that period. Requests that remain open are not removed by this completed-request cleanup.
Our procedure is to permanently delete related deletion-request emails and attachments from our support mailbox 90 days after completion, including related sent messages and copies in Trash. This mailbox cleanup is performed manually and is separate from the database cleanup.
Provider-managed technical logs and any backup or recovery copies follow separate retention arrangements. Our database and mailbox cleanup processes do not directly erase those copies. Hostinger has not confirmed a single retention period covering all email backups and delivery or security logs. Such records may remain subject to the provider’s retention schedules and legal, security or operational requirements.
